 Project Manager 

BCSD Türkiye is working under 4 main clusters to reach UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) in Türkiye. These clusters are as follows:

• Circular Economy and Materials
• Agriculture and Food
• Financial Products and Services
• Value Chain Transformation

BCSD Türkiye team is seeking to employ a Project Manager who will report to Deputy Executive Director.

Responsibilities and duties

• Manage existing projects within the area of responsibility
• Assess opportunities for new projects in line with BCSD Türkiye’s strategies and develop project proposals in coordination with BCSD Türkiye members and a wide range of stakeholders including government bodies, financial institutions, corporate sustainability teams, regulators, and NGOs.
• Define project objectives, create budgets and timelines and regularly monitor project progress and related KPI’s.
• Ensure project targets and milestones are met within the given deadlines.
• Communicate project performance with management and stakeholders.
• Conduct impact assessments after the project is completed.
• Establish effective communication with relevant BCSD Türkiye members, stakeholders, association members and other non-governmental organizations.
• Monitor and follow regulations related to BCSD Türkiye’s areas of focus.
• Organize and chair group meetings, webinars and workshops with the area of responsibility.
• Delivery of written materials such as reports, guidance, presentations etc.
• Contribute to the development of relationships and partnerships with public institutions, NGOs, universities, municipalities and local authorities for the association’s collaborations.
• Contribute to events planning and delivery for both BCSD Türkiye and partner events, represent BCSD Türkiye in sustainability related events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, economics or finance and/or position-related other fields.
• 6-7 years experience in Sustainability area in NGOs, Consultancy Companies or private sector (or private sector-facing organization) and minimum 3-5 years of experience in Sustainability Reporting and related frameworks and indices (GRI, IIRC, TCFD, CDP, BIST Sustainability Index, ESG Metrics etc.)
• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy and integrity of the sustainability reports.
• Ability to detect errors or discrepancies in data, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
• Strong project management experience, ability to develop project plans, timelines, and manage project scope and budgets.
• Ability to manage multiple project tasks and ad hoc demands simultaneously.
• Passionate and confident about sustainable development, ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders including government bodies, financial institutions, corporate sustainability teams, regulators, and NGOs.
• Capacity to work independently, proactively address problems and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for preparing reports, presentations, and engaging with stakeholders.
• Team-oriented with the ability to work across departments and geographies.
• Fluency in English is required.
